We were in the cave before 10am, the cave was closed so had a different feel without the lights. With the extra help of Tom we had dragged ourselves to Block Hall by just after 12pm. With the joys of Colostomy behind us, we enjoyed the fine ascent of over 100m. The formations at the top are superb. Woodhouse Way was negotiated and the White River Series really is magnificent and we took special care to avoid contaminating the calcite. We descended the Ventilator which was great fun, pulling the 50m rope behind. The rope came down all three pitches nicely so the spare rope we had dragged all the way proved unnecessary. Unfortunately we had Liam?s way and the Trenches to drag through again but the lure of a shower and a cuppa drove us on to an exit by 3.30pm.
