Where to sup
The Chapel is probably the only caving hut in the land where it is possible to go on a genuine pub-crawl without eroding your legs into oblivion. There are a total of six pubs all within a few minutes walk of the hut, as listed below. Outside of Castleton, the Peak District contains many pubs well worth stopping at and having a leisurely drink.

The Cheshire Cheese - A privately owned, family run, 17th century inn. Ideally situated to take full advantage of the areas many activities, places of interest, sights and scenery.
The Bull - Serves Robinson's beers - Traditional Peak District Inn with restaurant serving home made food. Magnificent views over Mam Tor and the surrounding countryside.
The Nag's Head - One of the TSG current haunts - Warm and welcoming family run hotel with log fire and home cooked food in the tearooms, evenings in the restaurant.
The Castle - A large pub, which is geared strongly towards catering for tourists. A warm welcome, with open fires, good food, the finest beers and quality wines.
The George - Off the main road, near The Castle. Friendly local, another favourite with the T.S.G. Food served (12-2, 6-9) - Sunday roast (12-3) Real ale (2 cask ales (Abbots & Greene King IPA)) - Outside seating - Dogs allowed - Children allowed - Car park - No smoking area.

The Three Stags Heads - Excellent pub in Wardlow Mires, on the main Chesterfield-Buxton road. A range of ales rarely seen elsewhere, sometimes including the formidable Last Rites at 11% abv.
The Quiet Woman - Located in the rather obscure village of Earl Sterndale, this ale house is worth finding. A good beer selection and the provision of tasty piggy pies and other goodies are a winning combination.
The Monsall Head - Pub split between two buildings. The place to head for is the Old Stables, where several good ales are on offer.
