Much faffing was had prior to trip, collecting tackle bags, maillions and then organising ropes.
Trip split into two teams, one going in via Peak to rig the Moose Trap, one via JH to rig the Ventilator.
The Peak Team comprised of Ann, Jane, Hanna (SUSS), Glyn and Miles.
I can highly recommend taking young fit female team to carry all tackle bags. As they carried the ropes it only seemed fair that they got to rig the Moose trap. I had leisurely trip through colostomy, up Block Hall etc, following the girls. However Miles and my self the found ourselves at the bottom of the first pitch of Moose Trap before the girls. Miles and I then proceeded to rig the pitches with the wrong ropes, with out spanners. Then the girls re riged them with the correct ropes and using a spanner, whilst we carried on rigging using the wrong end of the rope. Moose Trap is a classic Dales wet vertical series of pitches.
The JH team of Larry, Lara, Wayne, Geoff, Imogen and Tom.
Had a slow decent of the loose Bitch Pitch area and met up with the rest of the team as they were leaving the Moose Trap. The Ventilator was rigged and a leisurely decent was made, re entering the delights of the Peak Speedwell connection.
Full team left Peak entrance approximately seven hours after leaving the chapel. Fun packed trip had by all.
